FCO Travel Advice Update

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has updated the travel advice for USA with an update to the Summary – With effect from 2 February, the US Government will not permit entry to the USA of any foreign nationals who have visited China 14 days or less prior to their travel to the USA. More information for travellers to the USA can be found on the US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) website. The relevant extract of the advice is below for your reference:

Summary

There is an ongoing outbreak of coronavirus. The virus originated in Wuhan City, Hubei Province but cases have been confirmed in other parts of China and in some countries, including the USA.

With effect from 2 February, the US Government will not permit entry to the USA of any foreign nationals who have visited China 14 days or less prior to their travel to the USA. More information for travellers to the USA can be found on the US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) website.

The overall level of the advice has not changed, there are no restrictions within the advice.
